Fresh-Air Ventilation
Operating Instructions
Hytta is designed with your comfort and well-being in mind. Our energy recovery ventilation (ERV) system continuously brings filtered outdoor air into the home while helping maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
The system operates automatically throughout your stay, so there's no need to turn it on or off.
Using the Ventilation Boost Switches
Ventilation boost switches temporarily increase airflow when additional fresh-air circulation is needed.
You'll find them in three locations:
Main living area: At the bottom of the stairs.
First-floor bathroom: Near the bathroom entrance.
Upstairs bathroom: Near the bathroom entrance.
When to Use Ventilation Boost
While Cooking
Turn on the kitchen range hood and activate the ventilation boost switch at the bottom of the stairs.
This helps remove cooking odors and airborne particles.
While Showering or Bathing
Activate the ventilation boost switch in the bathroom to help remove excess moisture and humidity.
There's no need to open bathroom windows for ventilation.
Whenever Additional Ventilation Is Needed
You can also use the boost switches whenever you'd like increased fresh-air circulation.
A Few Helpful Reminders
The ERV runs continuously in the background, even when boost mode isn't activated.
Keep windows and exterior doors closed whenever practical to maintain indoor comfort and energy efficiency.
There's no need to adjust or turn off the main ventilation system.
Please leave the ventilation equipment and its settings as provided.
